Leaves mean life

Growing sustainable businesses with women in Africa's drylands Support us

What we do

We work with people in the drylands of Africa to tackle poverty and the effects of the climate crisis by growing trees, improving people’s incomes, and restoring and protecting land. Led by local people, our projects make sure trees thrive so they can provide food and incomes today and protect the environment for tomorrow.

Will you help grow Leaves for Livelihoods?

a month

£5 a month over a year could provide a community with six life-changing trees that can give a family nutritious food and produce to sell all year round.

£8 a month over a year could provide a family with tools to look after their trees, including watering cans, pruning tools, buckets and wheelbarrows.

£11 a month over a year could run an essential workshop on nutrition and the benefits of tree products for a whole community.

£14 a month over a year could provide ‘grafting’ training for nine people. This will help trees reach maturity sooner and produce more fruit to eat.

Where we work

Tree Aid works in the drylands of Africa’s Sahel, where over 300 million people’s lives are affected by a drastic reduction in fertile land and the climate crisis.

That is why we are working with communities in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Niger and Ethiopia to tackle it today and influence change for tomorrow.
