Our privacy policy will tell you all you need to know about how we handle, store, and process your data. Tree Aid is committed to fundraising in an honest and ethical way — see our supporter promise for more details.
Donate today to grow a greener, healthier future for communities in Africa's drylands.
Tree Aid provides communities with the tools and training they need to restore their land, improve diets, and earn a sustainable income from trees.
Your support could help us to expand our work across the Sahel region, growing incomes through sustainable tree businesses and supporting thriving, healthy communities.
We support entrepreneurs to grow and sell tree products from seed to sale, providing the tools and training to help sustainable community businesses really take off.
Building on people's existing skills and knowledge, local Tree Aid staff work with co-operative business groups. From tree care and product processing, to business planning and marketing, Tree Aid provides training for every stage of a tree product's journey.
We work with communities to plant and grow trees which are most useful to the people who live there. Sustainable tree products, like seeds, nuts, fruits and leaves, can be used as a source of income, and sold at local markets.
For women living in poverty, it can be hard to access the tools and training required for their business ideas to really fly.
Tree Aid projects connect with local women's enterprise groups, finding out how best we can support their existing work to make running their tree product businesses a little easier.
This might mean distributing machinery, which can save time and energy on product processing (like turning shea nuts into shea butter), or providing warehouses for storage of products throughout the year.

People in the drylands of Africa are being hit hardest by the effects of the climate crisis. For people living here like Doli and her family, weather patterns are becoming more erratic and droughts and floods are becoming more frequent and severe.
Finding joined-up climate solutions which address diet-related ill health, land degradation and poverty is vital. Join us as we work with local communities to grow nutritious food and incomes, training people to plant, grow, process and sell sustainable tree products.
